Supporters of the Australian and British Heritage Foundation do not support rabid radicalism or racialism but today some people often not even citizens of the country receive privileges denied to others simply based upon racial background. We believe this wrong. We cannot see any logic in supporting politicians or political parties who do not share our opinion.
There are many British Associations & Societies etc in Australia - each catering for a section of the British population who have come to live in Australia - for one reason or another. The Scottish, Welsh, & Irish, have had associations for many years past but only in recent years have people who regard themselves as "the English" initiated their own association to promote and protect their identity and culture. Most associations or societies are suffering decline today through falling membership; with old members dying & with few younger people replacing them.
( The incorporation of "English" associations was a response to the impact of multiculturalism in the British Isles and which has lead to the devolution of Wales & Scotland under the Blair Government.)
Having already so many organisations catering for people from the British Isles in Australia, it is reasonable to ask "why the need for a Web Site such as this"? The simple answer is that apart from the British Australian Community located in Victoria (formerly U.K. Settlers Association - which is open to all former U.K. citizens) few have a web site or if they have it will primarily support its own particular ethnic culture -English, Scots, Welsh & Irish for example. We have no quarrel with such sites however this site is created for a different purpose.
The Australian & British Heritage Foundation web site is founded on the perceived necessity to UNITE British & British/Australians of all regional/racial backgrounds, to support each other and the values they all inherited from their British roots rather than continue to place emphasis on their individual regional/racial backgrounds. (see Our Common heritage -English/British solecism
The "Non-Political" nature of British "origin" Associations or Societies is reflected in their constitutions . When most of these organisations were started this was quite understandable and acceptable .However in the post-war period starting from the early 1950's with the introduction of multiculturalism ( and other legislation) it is foolish to continue to believe that British-Australian Organisations (or Society in general) can survive without becoming involved in the political process.
(Multiculturalism legislation and other legislation plus widespread "political correctness" now clearly disadvantages British and British/Australian citizens in Australia.)
Most associations and societies are realising great difficulty in attracting or even maintaining membership. This can only be achieved by actively making membership interesting and attractive and above all has some real point or purpose. A common resentment voiced in conversation today is the imposition of racial discrimination and multicultural legislation - without any apparent approval to do so from the voting public. Speakers sound and feel frustrated and helpless to influence these matters. If membership enabled the individual to influence the political decisions that effect him/her that membership would be very meaningful. Thus membership means another way of influencing the direction of one's society..A single vote in the ordinary way has little impact but if the all members of associations join together in supporting a lobby great impact on political events can result. When we speak of Politics we are not talking of support for any particular political party - we are talking about the preservation of our British and British-Australian connections and Heritage which is unquestionably in peril. If this means change to the constitutions of associations etc. ( to enable a positive response to the threats now clearly visible) - well that's what needs to be done!.
( Change can only be achieved through revolution or the democratic political process. If British/Australians wish to have any effect in today's world they must unite and create a powerful political lobby of all British and British/Australians.)
The people who created these original Constitutions mostly in the late 19th Century, had no threats visible to their society at that time : these Associations & Societies exist now in a different world yet their Committees seem unaware of the changed circumstances faced by British & Australian people in the 21st Century .
Today pious statements of support for the culture and institutions brought "from home" embodied in the Constitution of the Association or Society are not sufficient. We believe British/Australians need a greater awareness of the dangers to this country of continued erosion of the values, attitudes, loyalties and institutions derived from Britain .In short our contention is that British/Australians must unite ,speak out and act when it is clear our position in society and/or our established institutions are threatened. It certainly is right at this time!.
Anti-British/English sentiment in Australia is not an imagined thing - it is real and often expressed in a sneering deprecating way by people who should know better. The attitudes displayed resemble those of adolescents towards their parents - who often are nowadays regarded as ignoramuses - holding dinosaur ideas and values.A good deal of this is due to ignorance of the facts or because the truth has been distorted by ideologues at both schools and universities who started disseminating their twisted ideas to their young impressionable students since the 1950's.(See Politics in Schools)
Adolescent attitudes do sometimes change for the better with age and hopefully this may occur with anti-British/English attitudes of the young in both Britain as well as Australia but this can be accelerated if counter information is available to people.Unfortunately, with few exceptions the Media seems in all Anglo-Saxon/Celtic countries to be in the hands of people believing and supporting the "black-arm"band of history.Historians, and other academics, religious leaders, members of the judiciary and the legal profession ( with their own political agenda) have all used their privileged positions in society in an attempt to destroy their and our heritage and introduce their own preferred political-economic system. One of the strange features of the post-war period is that many of these people are themselves of British descent. How confused can one get?.
These together with rabid globalist plutocrats and other ideologues of both left and right have combined to confuse and demoralise whole generations of Australian,Britons and New Zealanders. Once the British and British-Australians realise how their own identity is under threat and why they have no reason whatever to be ashamed of their roots they will also start to realise what an enormous confidence trick has been perpetrated by the politicians mainly to obtain political support and to satisfy the unsound ideas an elitist ideologue clique..(See Multiculturalism )
( Only Anglo-Saxon/Celtic countries appear to have legislated and institutionalised multiculturalism and "affirmative action" .The effect of such legislation has been to destroy the historical rights of citizens to be treated equally under the law. We now have a "justice" system that treats people differently dependent on racial background and whether the person involved is deemed to be "disadvantaged" or not! )
In Summary ;-
(1) This web site is created to present British and British Australian History and demonstrate respect for the efforts of previous generations who built our respective countries and provide facts to support our justifiable pride in their achievements.
(2) Assist all Australian Citizens irrespective of their origin who wish to preserve the liberties granted under the Australian Constitution;-
(a) to communicate with other supporters,
(b)find other web sites of a similar nature to become better informed.
(3) question Politicians and others in power on all facets of legislation in force (or likely to be presented to Parliament) through a lobby
(The national broadsheets the B.B.C. the A.B.C. & S.B.S. -all with few exceptions present similar unbalanced and biased opinions. They support multiculturalism and much of the other destructive legislation introduced over the past 40 years . Much of the commercial radio and television is similarly affected and offer few opportunities for any real debate on these matters.)
(3) Encourage Australians of British descent and British people resident in Australia to become members in their own Association or Society and invite all Australian Citizens (irrespective of their ethnic origin) who respect and wish to preserve the liberties provided under the Australian Constitution derived from Britain to become supporters of this Foundation. -
(4)Provide an opportunity for British & British Australians to share their views and news with other "British Origin" people in other parts of the World through a NewsGroup facility .
